Conversant and the Federation for Internet Alerts (FIA) were winners at the Shorty Social Good Awards in New York City last week, taking home honors in the Best in Technology category for “Around the World in 200 Milliseconds.” The entry, which has been recognized at the Webby Awards, Cannes and 4As Partner Awards this year, was also a finalist in the Best Business-NGO Partnership and Best in Emergency Relief categories.

In its first year, the Shorty Social Good Awards honor the social good initiatives brands, agencies and nonprofits are taking to make our world a better place. While the Shorty Awards have long-honored the best of social media, the Shorty Social Good Awards includes efforts made by organizations to improve sustainability and diversity internally, foster globally-minded business partnerships and increase employee community and civic engagement.

Agencies and companies from across the globe entered work in more than 45 categories, and winners were selected by members of the Real Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences, comprised of luminaries from advertising, media, entertainment and technology.
