We’re excited to announce that for the second consecutive year, Conversant’s work for the Federation for Internet Alerts (FIA) has been recognized with a Webby People’s Voice Award. Last year, FIA was honored with a People’s Voice Webby for its work issuing AMBER Alerts and emergency weather announcements. This year, its entry for the Alert Hub, “Around the World in 200 Milliseconds,” bested four other outstanding entries in the Advertising: Public Service & Activism category.

The FIA Alert Hub is a free cloud service that allows all global ad-serving platforms to quickly access FIA alerts—including child abductions and imminent weather threats—and deliver them in real time. With the Hub’s robust scalability, availability and reliability, the alerting community can deliver these emergency alerts worldwide in just milliseconds.

The Alert Hub is powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and makes use of AWS’s worldwide footprint to maximize speed, reach and reliability. And partners such as Conversant, AOL, GroupM, xAd and others cover the last mile in delivering alerts to web banners, phones, billboards and any other connected devices nearby.

Congratulations to FIA and all the partners who have joined forces to help send these life-saving alerts.
